Dreams

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Do you have weird dreams?  Do you ever wake up feeling like your dream was trying to tell you something?  Well, it was!!  Dreams are very powerful.  They can reveal what you’re struggling with.  They can be prophetic.  They can be God revealing something to you.  They can be because you watched something that night and you end up dreaming about it.  They can also be the enemy trying to disturb you.  First thing to do is determine what caused that dream.  If you can rule out any TV watching, or the pizza you ate before bed, or your situation in life, then what you have left is either God or the enemy.  God dreams do not cause fear.  The enemy’s dreams do.  Dreams are very symbolic most of the time.  Sometimes they are meant to be literal.  There are some excellent Christian books available that explain symbols, numbers, colors, etc.  It is a good idea to get those books if you are the type of person that gets a lot of dreams or you know that God speaks to you in dreams, like me.

What kind of friend are you?

Monday, June 9th, 2008

In Mark 2:1-5 is the story of the paralytic man being lowered through the roof unto Jesus so He can heal the man. The four men who lowered the paralytic were his FRIENDS, not any family members. Notice the determination and the faith they had to carry this friend of theirs up to the rooftop and break the roof open and then lower his body while laying on a bed. Those are real friends, the kind that are willing to walk alongside of you while you are suffering and need help. Are you this kind of friend? The friend that carries the burden of another friend? The friend that intercedes for her? The friend that helps the “helpless?” The friend that is determined to help another even if it costs you time, energy, money? Are you the type of friend others can count on without feeling they are burdening you with their problem? Or are you just quick to give your opinion about their problem and not offer to help in any way, including praying for them? Check yourself this day. Be a real friend.

Fear can cripple you!

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Have you ever held back from doing something because of fear? I have. Fear crippled me since childhood after I saw an evil spirit. Never again did I want to sleep alone or in the dark. Fear held me back from furthering my education for many years because I feared I wasn’t smart enough. Fear kept me from having children for the first 9 years of marriage because I feared I wouldn’t be a good mother. Fear kept me from pursuing my purpose and calling. Fear is a lie straight from the pit of hell. It is a lie that the devil puts in your mind. It must be countered with the word of God. it must be defeated by not allowing it to take root in your mind. It must be recognized and attacked the very second it tries to enter your mind.

Can a woman survive being betrayed by her husband?

Yes. Is it easy? Heck no. Is it better to get a divorce? It all depends who you ask and on the situation. Biblically, a woman has the right to divorce from an unfaithful husband. Does God prefer reconciliation? Yes, if there has been genuine repentance. Both spouses have to try as a couple to make things work. However, the unfaithful man must be remorseful about his acts. He must be willing to deal with the consequences that result from adultery. What consequences? To continue reading this article, please go to:
